Nominations are now open for the 2019 Tech4Good Awards and we are looking forward to discovering innovative new technical solutions that shape people’s lives for good.

This year we’ve made some exciting changes to the awards, which add even more value, and offer further opportunities for connecting, communicating and competing among our ever-growing community.

Three new categories

A big change for 2019 is that entries will be open for submission to three new categories. For the first time, we’ll be opening up the competition for ‘Inclusive Design’,‘Diversity’ and ‘Ageing Society’ projects, products or people.  Here at Tech4Good we are passionate about how tech can promote, endorse and support a more equal and inclusive society, and we feel that these new categories will help contribute to that.  We can’t wait to receive the entries!

If you have any questions about these new categories, or any other aspect of the awards, you’ll be able to put them to our team in our first ever webinars, also new for this year. Here, our team will be available live during April to answer your queries. Sign up to our newsletter to find out more.

New sponsors and partners

As the awards grow, develop and change we like to bring on new partners and sponsors to support us. This year, we are pleased to announce that Scope will be sponsoring the Inclusive Design award, Samsung are sponsors of the Connected Society Award and UnLtd are sponsoring the Ageing Society Award. We’ll also be working with Crowdfunder on a new and exciting approach to our People’s Award, which we’ll update you on a bit later on in the process.

Winners Day

We have also been looking at how we can offer our winners more opportunities for support and connection with our partners – making the most of their extensive experience and knowledge in the sector. For 2019, this will be in the form of a unique ‘Winners Day’ networking event taking place in London on 02 October. Here, the winners in all categories will be invited to spend the day with representatives from our sponsors and partners, to share knowledge, make connections and offer support and advice.

Expert judges

We pride ourselves on not only having incredible partners on board but knowledgeable and skilled judges who are at the top of the sector, among our panel. This year we are adding to these, with the inclusion of Chris Bush, DCMS and James Kitto, Samsung. The judging sessions are always a highlight of the awards – as the judges thrash out who should be crowned winners – and these new additions are sure to make discussions even more interesting.

So what are you waiting for? If all this has whet your appetite and you’d like to enter, go to www.tech4goodawards.com/enter-now to submit your nomination.
