We’re pleased to announce that technology expert, celebrated author and award-winning blogger Kate Russell will be presenting the Tech4Good Awards 2015 ceremony at BT Centre in July.

Kate has been writing about technology, gaming and the Internet since 1995, had her first book published in 2013, and in 2014 saw her first fiction novel released. She now reports on various television and radio stations on the world of tech, and won best blog in the individual digital and technology category in the UK Blog Awards 2015. Now it’s her turn to champion the best of technology in the UK as she announces the winners of the Tech4Good Awards 2015 in July.

Kate shares what she is most looking forward to about this year’s Awards:

“In my work I see a lot of fear around technology because people don’t understand it and feel it threatens their way of life. The Tech4Good Awards is a fantastic tonic to that, showcasing the country’s brightest sparks doing really amazing, life enhancing things with technology. I can’t wait to meet the new and inspiring people that are using technology to make the world a better place. Last year’s event led to grants, media coverage and huge demand for the finalists and winner’s services. I’m sure the 5th year of the Tech4Good Awards will be no different.”

So far this year Kate has raised over £19,000 for double-Award winners SpecialEffect through their 24hr fundraising stream, Gameblast 24. Kate streamed Elite: Dangerous for 12hrs, raising £7.5k, SpecialEffect raised £2k and BT donated a massive £10k.

Finalists for Tech4Good Awards 2015 will be announced on Monday 25th May, so make sure you sign up to our newsletter to be the first to find out who’s made it this year.
