The programme focuses on under 25s and over 65s, providing access to reliable internet connections, alongside tech equipment, digital training and bespoke events, unlocking opportunities and promoting digital skills.

According to Age UK, most people who are digitally excluded are over 65 and the greatest causes of digital exclusion amongst older people are lack of skills, a lack of trust, and not having a reliable internet connection. So, our digital programmes for over 65s include digital drop ins; back to basic courses; 1-1 digital support; skills specific digital courses; video calling and accessing news online.

The programme has delivered eight Flagship Sky Up Digital Hubs to date, with another two opening this year. The Hubs have provided free Sky Wi-Fi, devices, Sky volunteer support and a full refurbishment of the community space, designed in collaboration with each partner and their members.
