Prospector Theater inclusive workplace

The Prospector Theater is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to providing competitive and inclusive employment to people with disabilities through the operation of a premium, first-run movie theater located in Ridgefield, CT. Approximately 75% of Prospects workforce self-identify with a disability.

80% of people with disabilities don’t have a job. Over 1,000,000 more Americans with disabilities have lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Meaningful employment is vital to a person’s mental, social, financial, and emotional health. We improve the quality of life for countless people with disabilities, their families, and their communities.

Some adaptive technologies used by Prospects (the name of all Prospector employees) are C-Pen readers, screen-readers, money scanning apps, augmentative and alternative communication, caption readers, audio description, and so much more.
