Next Tech Girls is a social enterprise that uses technology to empower young women and increase their representation in the tech industry. They believe that having more diverse and inclusive teams can lead to more innovation, creativity and positive social impact.
They use online platforms to connect girls with inspiring role models, mentors and opportunities in tech. They partner with various organisations to offer:
- Coding and UX design workshops that help girls develop their technical skills and express their ideas.
- Career talks and panels that feature diverse women in tech who share their stories and insights.
- Work experience placements and events that expose girls to different tech roles and sectors, such as film and TV production, gaming, digital marketing and more.
“Next Tech Girls is on a mission to create a world where tech is for everyone, regardless of gender or background. We want to break the stereotypes that keep girls away from tech careers and show them the exciting opportunities that await them. Since inception, we’ve directly engaged with over 1,300 teenage girls, showing them that a career in tech can be rewarding and fulfilling.”
