JamPackedUK supports the teaching of digital skills and the development of the teaching of computing, providing inspiring and engaging experiences for learners of all ages and backgrounds.

Targeted at areas of the UK with the highest levels of social disadvantage, including Darlington, Leeds, Eccles, Salford, Hull, Dudley, Preston and Manchester, JamPackedUK organise community events, webinars and free online shared resources to boost participant’s confidence levels to use digital tools.

Supported by a team of volunteers, in just six months they’ve organised 14 webinars, which 1,200 teachers participated in, and 22 community events, with an attendance of nearly 2,000 people. Events include Family Hack Jams, where teams work together to solve problems using digital tools, and Raspberry Jam, where participants learn how to develop their own projects on Raspberry Pi computers.
