Local Digital Champions Award, Winner, 2013

Norman Hunter is an IT tutor by profession, but his vision for supporting Go-On UK and helping people to gain basic IT skills goes way beyond his professional role.

Working with Go-On partners in Merseyside, Norman has run a range of very successful and innovative events at places like rail and bus stations and even the Mersey Ferry. These events have recruited over 500 digital champions for Go-On in Liverpool, as well as providing inspiration and support for other Go-On projects in the region.

As well as community-based events Norman has worked with Digital Champions from local charities and built links with trades unions, social landlords and, most recently, Job Centre Plus.

In March 2016 Go-ON UK announced that they were joining forces with Dot Everyone UK.
