The Disabled Artists’ Network CIC use technology to further their aims to inclusively promote creativity as a coping mechanism for disability – particularly mental health. 
They have been providing this free service since 2016 and work with disabled civilians and veterans, as well as non-disabled artists. This is an International arts project that also works on promoting cultural acceptance for all. As a result of Covid, they transformed our exhibition venue to a digital gallery in 2021 in order to reduce the risk of infection for their more vulnerable members.
The first digital exhibition went live on 26th May 2021 and the next exhibition is already fully subscribed with the 3rd digital exhibition already half subscribed.
By going digital they have further removed the barriers to exhibiting art from certain groups in society:
- Severely disabled artists can now exhibit with them without leaving their homes
- A specific session has been setup for BAME artists to empower them to share their voice through art
- Artists on low incomes can use readily available technology to exhibit with them
- They have used technology to remove geographical boundaries for artists across the Earth and have started working on creating a truly international collaboration of talent.
Disabled Artists’ Network CIC have always been committed towards an equality of opportunity from members of all disadvantaged groups to exhibit with them and take part in their activities.
