AI for Good, Finalist, 2023

Bitseng uses AI technology to track a persona movement and detect poor sleep, falls, and other health concerns.

“sleep problems and disorders in the elderly are on the rise, with sleep apnea being much more common than in adults. Sleep apnea can lead to cardiovascular complications such as high blood pressure, stroke, and myocardial infarction, as well as Alzheimer’s disease, one of the leading causes of dementia. It is especially important to check for sleep apnea in stroke patients, as it is present in about 70% of cases.

While polysomnography, which is typically used to treat sleep disorders and conditions, requires the user to wear multiple sensors, our solution detects events such as sleep apnea and falls without wearing any devices. Our solution enables efficient stakeholder care for elders with limited mobility or bed-bound individuals who need daily or frequent checks, as it can be easily installed on the wall or ceiling for daily monitoring.”
