Who Can Enter?

Anyone using technology to improve people’s lives can enter:

  • Individuals, start-ups, charities, social enterprises, large organisations
  • UK-based & international entrants (some categories limited to UK; Africa categories open globally)
  • Self-nominations and peer-nominations are both welcome

It doesn’t need to be brand-new tech — innovative uses of existing technology are equally welcome.

Choosing your Category

You can enter more than one category if your project fits the criteria. Categories reflect the barriers technology can reduce — including accessibility, inclusive education, independent living, digital inclusion, workplace inclusion, sustainability, global impact, and AI for Good.

How to Enter

01

Check the Criteria

Each category asks how your tech addresses a clear need, involves users in design, and demonstrates impact.

02

Submit your Entry

  • Entries open: 1 March
  • Entries close: 30 April
  • All entries are submitted through our accessible nominations platform.

03

Judging & Shortlisting

An expert panel (15–20 judges with technical, social impact and lived-experience expertise) reviews each submission.

Entries are scored on:

  • Need and problem definition
  • User involvement (“co-design” earns higher marks)
  • Innovation
  • Scalability
  • Measured impact

Shortlists are announced 1 June.

04

Final Selection & Ceremony

All judges meet to select winners across categories.

The ceremony takes place in early July (usually during London Tech Week).
