#T4GStreetLink

Finalist, 2016

Every night, there is an estimated 3,569 people sleeping on the streets, with new rough sleepers are arriving daily. Supporting homeless people is fast becoming a national crisis.

The StreetLink project is a website, mobile app and 24/7 helpline that allows the general public to help connect rough sleepers to StreetLink, who capture the location and communicate the information to the local authority in real-time. In 2015 over 75% of referrals came via digital channels (9,000 via the website, 3,000 via mobile), and since 2012 StreetLink has received 45,000 referrals, all of whom have been referred to local authorities and local services. Out of those, over 3,000 people have been placed in accommodation.
